The Children's Home is looking for a Clinical Support Staff for our new Youth ACT program in Broome County!!
Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) is an evidence based team approach serving children ages 10-21 with complex mental health needs and their families. The Youth ACT team serves as an alternative to out of home placement and works to improve functioning in the home, school, and community.
Job Summary: The clinical staff will work closely with children, family, and the youth ACT team to support identified treatment goals through discrete and targeted interventions. In addition to performing routine clinical support team duties, the clinical support staff has lead responsibility for integrating educational and/or vocational goals and services with the tasks of all team members. This position will support the child and family to acquire the necessary skills and abilities to manage their health, improve family relationships, and develop opportunities for pro-social activities and interactions.

Qualifications:
Relevant Knowledge & Essential Skills: The ideal candidate for this position should possess exemplary verbal and written communication skills. The clinical support staff should be comfortable working individually as well as on a team. It is necessary for this individual to have strong organizational skills as well as strong computer skills - Microsoft office/EHR. An ideal candidate will have prior experience working with children and youth with significant emotional disorders, severe mental, emotional and behavioral impairments, histories of hospitalization, and families with complex, multi-system needs, in crisis, or with children in a mental health setting.
